Top 5 Summer Fit Tips

The summer season is nearly here!

This is the time of year many look forward to the moment the New Year kicks in.

And it can go by in a blink of an eye.

Every weekend, heck, every DAY, there's so many options and fun things to do.

Schedules get packed up real quick.

How do you maintain your workout routine through the summer?

Here's the top tips we've gathered from VFitters to share:

Tip #1 - Set the alarm a bit earlier and get in an early morning workout. That way you can get it in before the busy-ness of the day begins (and before it gets too hot).

Tip #2 - Go for shorter workouts throughout the day. Maybe do 15 minutes in the morning (like a VFit express class on demand) then go for another short workout later in the afternoon or before dinner.

Tip #3 - Create your own health goals and share them! This will boost your accountability and give you that extra boost to maintain that commitment to your health. Your wellbeing is important through all seasons you can't take a whole one off and expect your mind, body, and spirit to be okay with that!

Tip #4 - Take your workouts outside. You can bring VFit classes outdoors with some good WIFI (and shade!). You can take advantage of the good weather and get more outdoor activities in such as hiking, biking, kayaking, paddleboarding, pickle ball...enjoy the fresh air and keep up your activity level at the same time.

Tip #5 - Invite friends and family to join you in your workouts. The summer season is a bit more social. Take this opportunity to have some company with you for your workouts. Invite someone to join you, maybe even set up a weekly recurring 'workout buddy time' and keep up the fun and fitness all summer long.

These are just some of the tips that came through when we asked our VFitter community what works for them to keep up their routine through the summer.
