At VFit, we believe there’s two ways to live your life. One is being REACTIVE. Letting situations outside of you control, run your emotions, mood and actions. Being reactive leads to high levels of stress, regret and takes A LOT of energy to live in that state. Part 1 – Holiday Survival Guide

For each week you let your fitness take a back seat, it will take you 2-3 times the amount of time to climb back to the level you were at. So the simple math - if you let your health go the last 6 weeks of the year, it will take 12-18 to get back at the level you were at. That means you are spending 3+ months of the year riding the merry go round.... not fun and that can be so discouraging, that you quit all together.

What Are You Training For?

I am often asked "What are your training for?", to which my reply is always the same. But this week after being asked this again, I thought about it a bit more. About how common and expected it is our culture to be training for SOMETHING... To lose weight, for a wedding, a marathon, to get in your pre-baby skinny jeans, a triathlon.....the list goes on and on. But here's my answer. The only thing I am actively training for is LIFE!
