The holidays are right around the corner, and if you’re feeling like your schedule is filling up fast, you’re not alone. Between shopping lists, school events, family gatherings, travel plans, and all the extras that come with this season, workouts can easily slide to the bottom of the priority list.
But here’s the good news: movement doesn’t have to look like a full workout to matter.
In fact, during busy seasons, small pockets of movement can be just as powerful — for your body, your energy, and your mindset.
Something is always better than nothing, every time!
Here's some simple, realistic ways to weave more movement into your day when time feels tight.
Before the day fully takes off, give yourself a few minutes of intentional movement. A gentle stretch, mobility work, or a short on-demand class can wake up your body and set the tone for the day.
Even 5 minutes counts — especially when consistency matters more than intensity.
Look for opportunities to add movement onto your existing routines:
Do calf raises while brushing your teeth
Squats while waiting for coffee to brew
Light stretching while watching TV
A brisk walk while making phone calls
You don’t need extra time — just a little creativity.
Park farther away. Take the stairs. Walk an extra lap before heading inside. These small choices add up quickly and keep your body moving throughout the day without feeling like a “workout.”
Holiday errands can be exhausting — but they can also be movement opportunities. Walk with purpose, engage your posture, and take a few deep breaths while you’re out. Think of it as functional fitness for real life.
This is not the season for “all or nothing.” A 10 minute 10Fit workout- or 30-minute VFit live class or on demand class can:
Reduce stress
Boost your energy
Improve your mood
Help you feel more grounded
Short workouts done consistently are incredibly effective — and much easier to stick with when life is full.
If your days are packed, let evenings be about release. A stretch, recovery, or breathing-focused session can calm your nervous system and help you sleep better — which matters just as much as the workout itself.
Some days will be full workouts. Some days will be a walk, a stretch, or nothing at all — and that’s okay. Movement is meant to support your life, not add pressure.
Progress during the holidays looks like showing up imperfectly but consistently.
As the season gets busier, remember this: taking care of yourself isn’t selfish — it’s essential. A little movement goes a long way in helping you feel stronger, calmer, and more present for everything this season brings.
We’re cheering you on — one small step at a time. 💛
