Do THIS When You Can't Find Time to Workout

How to Carve Out Time For You ...

One of the biggest reasons we hear from people that they aren't working out is they don't have time.

We get it, it can be hard to manage all of life's demands on us every day. Sometimes the easiest thing can seem like cutting out time for self care.

But this approach will leave you feeling depleted and interfere with the quality of your health big time! And not in the way you want it to.

Here's some of our biggest tips for how to carve out time just for YOU:

  • Prioritize your self care time by putting it into your calendar. Book that time out so you see it every time you look at your planner. It's a date with yourself and you deserve to stick with it!

  • Set an alarm for when you plan to workout and label it something that means something special to you. Some ideas: you deserve this, it's time for selfcare, time to get strong! You name it, whatever words will speak to you. That alarm will be a great additional reminder to yourself that this time is meant for you.

  • Declare your intentions with those you work or live with that you plan to workout. Let them know this is important to you. You'd be surprised by how accomodating and supportive others will be once you do this! There's also great power in saying aloud your goals. You'll be more apt to stick with it.

  • Set some personal goals for you that are tied to self care. Possibly there's a local hike you want to be able to do and have the stamina to get through? Or an upcoming run/walk? Maybe it's getting in a certain plank hold time. Or increasing your daily walking loop with your pup? So many options are out there! If you can tie in something you love with the work you are putting into your workouts, it will help you keep that commitment to yourself to keep on going.

These are just a few of our tips for carving out time just for you. Self care is a gift you give yourself. No one can do it for you. It's in your power and control to get it in and we are here to support you!
