We are here to fill your buckets one last time this year with some of our weekly INSPO roundtable talk. And this may be the most important subject of all.

This week’s theme: “The greatest wealth is health”

You can have all the money in the world, the biggest house, the fastest car, every clothing item, kitchen gadget and electronic device you’ve ever desired for, but if you don’t have good health; if you don’t take care of your own well being, what does any of that matter at the end of the day?

We are in a society that wants instant gratification, quick fixes, sales and deals ALL.THE.TIME! 

You can be devoted to material items all you want and sign up for every cleanse/diet/program under the sun, but if you aren’t putting in the actual TIME and ENERGY to take care of yourself, then there’s little left of you to enjoy this life that you are working so hard to build.

When it comes to spending money on our own health, people are stuck in the mindset of trying to save a buck – going for a cheap option at the grocery store, or the luring low gym membership to ‘get a deal.’

As we all know by now, you usually get what you pay for! Case in point:

// That sale on Fruit Loops for $2/box, isn’t really a sale at all when you think about it. Sure, you save money at checkout compared to the box full of whole grains, real nuts and no added sugar that costs $6/box, but you’ll end up paying more in the long run in the form of a weak immune system, mid day energy slumps and health problems causing you to miss work, go to the doctor, etc. 

// You could do Youtube workouts till you are blue in the face and they are all free, but is that really the best way to maximize your workout time?

Does that trainer know your body? Can they see you and help correct your form? Do they cheer you on by name and make sure you are showing up consistently? Can they tailor a program that is well rounded and SAFE?

Sure you did 100 burpees, but if you didn’t do a single one correct, you are going to get HURT! And getting hurt, once again will cost you in the long run.

//You may have the world’s cheapest Planet Fitness by you for $9/month and then then don’t use it. 

Or you may pay for an expensive gym membership and it is still of no more value if it’s not being USED!

A large portion of people end up donating money to the gym each month, and feel a web of guilt for not going.

This cycle has to stop!

The power of visualization

Do you subconsciously sabotage yourself from reaching your goals?  Do you let self-doubt get in your way? 

It is common for people to begin to scroll through all the possible obstacles that could prevent them from reaching their destination; however, the problem occurs when we let these obstacles become so big that we just give up.

Don’t let this be you!

Rather than creating larger-than-life obstacles in your mind and dwelling on everything that could go wrong, envision yourself as the greatest.  Visualize yourself reaching your goals, giving the big speech, applying for and getting the job—conquer your Mt. Everest!

Some of the most successful people have used the power of visualization to accomplish their dreams.  Muhammad Ali would visualize exactly how he wanted his fights to play out.  Jim Carey carried a check that he wrote to himself for $10,000 around in his pocket for 5 years before he landed a role that actually gave him the money to cash the check.  The check in his pocket was his visual reminder to keep seeing himself as a great actor.

The more vivid you can be in your visualization the better it will work for you. 

Take 10 minutes a day in quiet meditation and see yourself accomplishing whatever it is that you wish.  Be as detailed as possible.  What do you see, hear, feel?  How amazing does the final victory feel?

Below is a guided meditation to help you visualize your goals, or set a timer for 10 minutes and freestyle it.

Some other helpful things you can do are:  create a vision board, write your goals in a journal or on a post it note.  Place these visual reminders where you will see them daily.

Having always had a love for physical fitness, I taught group fitness throughout college, and upon graduating was hired to teach public school.With the demands of a new job and a new husband, exercise became my time to unwind.

With my 3 children now in school, I returned to my first career as a group exercise instructor.

Yoga is one of my favorite styles to teach because it has something for everyone. It is healing and strengthening all in one. It truly is the complete package.

When not in the gym teaching, I enjoying spending time outdoors hiking and exploring with my husband and 3 children.

We are avid travelers who enjoy each new adventure that we encounter. All three of my children are very active in competitive sports.”

We are here to fill your buckets with some of our weekly INSPO roundtable talk.

Each year, we like to set an intention for the whole team to focus on.  For 2018, we chose : the year of today’s, not tomorrows.  This was meant for each member to focus on the present, the here and now, and to make the most of each and every day. To not put off things for “later” or a better time.

For 2019, we have landed upon another TIMELY quote, because at VFit, that’s what is at the core of our philosophy about fitness and life – truly making the most of each and every valuable minute you each have in life.

Make every minute matter.

That right there is where our focus will be for  2019, and starting today we are geared up to help YOU make each minute matter in your day.

Your time is incredibly valuable – it’s the moments of each day that create the life you lead, and you have much more control than you may realize to choose how you spend those moments.

This philosophy is the driving force of why our platform even exists.

It was TIME that was the barrier between our founder Rachele being able to get back to the gym, along with the added complications of childcare, work, and the commute time to the gym.  She just KNEW there had to be another way to get her workouts in.

Exercise isn’t about fitting into a pair of skinny jeans or looking good for an upcoming event.

Exercise has the power to transform EVERY other area of your life. We firmly believe this and so do our members. This value and love of what fitness does for the rest of our life, is why VFit is so successful.

Exercise makes us all better people and should be possible for everyone to fit into their lives, no matter how busy we all are.

When we couldn’t find another solution to replace everything Rachele loved about her gym (community, accountability, working out with others, support….),she took the leap of faith and began The VFit Studio.

She rounded up two other instructors she knew would help with her vision, loaded up a first week schedule with roughly 20 classes, and got word out  by reaching out to women she knew would benefit from having the ability to make each minute count.

Because as many of you can relate, self care is oftentimes the first to go once we feel we have ‘no time.’  Once work gets busy, the kids schedule gets packed, and your to do list is a mile and a half long.

At VFit, you don’t have to worry about that. Not EVER again.  You just carve out 30 minutes of your schedule, you hold yourself accountability, and you log in to our live streamed classes. It’s 30 minutes start to finish, often less time than it would take you to pack yourself up and head over to your local gym. And heck, some days you may only get to log in 5-10 minutes and we know even that short amount can turn your day around and bring a world of different to your life.

We are here to help you make every minute matter in 2019.

If it’s simply ‘time’ that is truly the reason you are not getting in your self care and workouts, then it’s time to flip the script, to try something new and see how much you CAN do.

This week our team is celebrating just how many workouts they DID fit in this year and the majority of our active members have logged in at least 100 workouts in 2018, with many hitting in the 200 and 300 range!

Have you made time for YOU that many times this year? Because YOU are always worth it.

So today we challenge you to make EVERY MINUTE MATTER. Whether you give yourself 5 minutes of time, or more – make the use of your time as valuable as possible.

We all have 24 hours in the day – that is not going to change.

When you prioritize your health, well being and WHO you surround yourself with – those 24 hours can be lived at such a higher caliber than you knew possible!

The payback from taking care of YOU comes in the form of increased energy, self-confidence, more presence in life and SO MUCH MORE!

So your mission this week is to do a check in of you surround yourself with on a daily basis.

Are they contributing the the better good in your life and this world, or is it time to find a new tribe?

Your success is INFINITE in this world and there is room at the top for us all! Success is built by lifting each other up, not by stepping on each other to get to the top!

The Key to Success

We are here to fill your buckets with some of our weekly INSPO roundtable talk.

When we came across the week’s quote, we knew it was the ONE.  We are firm believers in the notion that your vibe attracts your tribe.

And at VFit, our tribe is one heck of a supportive, positive collection of wonderful women from across the country.

Beyond the live streamed classes and trainer team, what really sets our studio apart is just how STRONG the VFit community is. If you read our “member success stories”, nearly every single one talks about the community and team support that VFit gives it’s members.


“Successful” doesn’t mean we have met all of our fitness goals, are financially wealthy, or are out winning marathons.  
Success to us means showing up for YOU, and making self care a priority in your day.


It is in the act of self care and self respect, that empowers you to go out and be successful in the rest of life’s important areas – family, friends, health, career, etc.

Hopefully by this stage in life you have noticed just HOW important of a role the people around you on a day to day basis play in you life.

Surround yourself with a bunch of negative nellie’s and you soon find yourself singing the same gloom and doom scripts.

Surround yourself with upbeat, motivated and passionate people and you can’t help but to be inspired yourself to DO more and be the best version of YOU!

You are a direct sum of who you surround yourself with, so choose wisely.

Our favorite team out there is the VFit team!

You’d be hard pressed to find a more DIVERSE group of woman, but no matter the differences and distance between us (literally, we have members from Maine to San Diego), they all support and lift each other up –  ALWAYS!

// We know that when teammate Kate from Maine logs in, she’s blocked out the time in her day to take 30 minutes to fill her tank.  She see’s all of her VFit teammates making the time to show up as well and knows that she too can make that 30 minutes a priority.

Having the accountability of trainers she’s connected too and friends she’s bonded with in class, helps motivate her to show up, even on the toughest of days.

// We know that teammate Bridget in California has forgone her old Bachelor TV show habit and swapped that for an earlier bedtime, so she can wake up at 515A and get into her regular 530A class FIVE DAYS a week.

She couldn’t figure out how to get workouts in with her current routine, so she sat down and took a hard look at how she spending her time. Thanks to the FUN and motivating teammates she gets to meet up with each morning through VFit,  her new guilty pleasure is exercise.

// We know that when trainer Ceci lights up the screen with her charismatic smile and full swagger dance moves, the whole team smiles a little bigger and leaves class feeling renewed.

As a Trainer, she’s sharing a true love of and  passion for dance with our members and regardless  that we can’t dance as great as Ceci can, her motivation and cheer rubs off onto us all.

Because at VFit, we have a built a strong community that supports one another.  One that will help give you that bit of accountability that may by lacking in your current household.

Each and every one of us has so very much to be thankful for; however, it is very easy to get caught up in the negative moments of our lives.

One way to appreciate how truly are blessed we are, is to make a list or perhaps a gratitude jar.  Below is one such example from https://www.mommypotamus.com/gratitude-happiness-jar/

 

Here in the US, we are days away from Thanksgiving.  A perfect time to practice gratitude, but truthfully, there is no bad time to be thankful.

Being thankful doesn’t mean ignoring the not so awesome moments that happen each and every day in our lives.  However, it does mean stopping, acknowledging, and viewing those moments differently.

Ask, what are these difficult moments teaching me?  Then be present with those moments as well.  But be thankful because you are becoming a stronger person.  Don’t fight the riptide, instead, swim with it.

I recently came across the following words of wisdom.  May they speak to you as they do to me.

In Life

In life we think the that the point is to pass the test or overcome the problem. The real truth is that things don’t really get solved. They come together for a time, then they fall back apart. Then they come together and fall apart again. It’s just like that.

Personal discovery and growth come from letting there be room for all this to happen: room for grief, for relief, for misery, for joy.

Suffering comes from wishing things were different. Misery is self-inflicted, when we are expecting the “idea” to overcome the “actual,” or needing things (or people, or places) to be different for us so we can then be happy.

Let the hard things in life break you. Let them effect you. Let them change you. Let those hard moments inform you. Let this pain be your teacher. The experiences of your life are trying to tell you something about yourself. Don’t cop out on that. Don’t run away and hid under your covers. Lean into it.

What is the lesson in the wind? What is the storm trying to tell you? What will you learn if you face it with courage? With full honesty and – lean into it.
