Shari’s Take 10 – Waterfall Meditation
We are back with our weekly Take 10 series from VFit Trainer Shari, which combines a mindfulness video meditation, along with motivational messaging to help us all reach internal peace and balance out the yang of our day to day lives:
I don’t have a big write up for you this week. I simply invite you to click on the video below and give yourself the gift of 10 minutes. Just breathe and enjoy the simple beauty of nature. You can log on and use this video any time you feel that you need a little grounding.
You do not even have to sit and watch the video in its entirety. Maybe you only have a minute or two as you escape for a restroom break. Meditation isn’t necessarily about quantity, but rather quality. Let go, breathe, and make the most of the few minutes that you do have. Then try to fit in longer sessions when you can.
My challenge to you this week….
Take 10 with me and this video, but also go outside and find your own little piece of nature.
As I say in the video, we do not have to go on a long trip or vacation to find a perfect space. The most beneficial mindfulness comes right amid our crazy, chaotic world.
Having always had a love for physical fitness, I taught group fitness throughout college, and upon graduating was hired to teach public school.With the demands of a new job and a new husband, exercise became my time to unwind.
With my 3 children now in school, I returned to my first career as a group exercise instructor.
Yoga is one of my favorite styles to teach because it has something for everyone. It is healing and strengthening all in one. It truly is the complete package.
When not in the gym teaching, I enjoying spending time outdoors hiking and exploring with my husband and 3 children.
We are avid travelers who enjoy each new adventure that we encounter. All three of my children are very active in competitive sports.”
