A warm and festive drink, this Mulled Wine is perfect to serve over the holiday's or during the dark and colder winter months. This warm and fuzzy drink is loaded with fresh spices and will make your house smell amazing!

Ingredients
  • 1 bottle red wine such as Merlot or Cabernet
  • 1 Cup water
  • 1/4 Cup coconut sugar
  • 3 cloves whole
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp cardamom
  • pinch all spice
  • 2 strips orange peel
  • 2 strips lemon peel

Instructions
  1. Combine wine, water, sugar, cloves, nutmeg, cardamom, allspice, orange and lemon peel in a large saucepan. Bring to a simmer over low heat. Simmer for 20 minutes. In order to not cook out all of the alcohol from the wine, you will want to heat this low and slow. Once warmed, strain out through a mesh strainer. Serve warm and garish with lemon or orange peel (can use the ones that were cooked since they are full of flavor).
