Caramel is SOOO good...and it's almost always just high fructose corn syrup if you are having it out of the house, along with some dye to make it caramel colored. Thanks, but not thanks. We've developed a rich caramel dipping sauce using the sweetness of dates long with vanilla extract, and some added healthy fat from coconut oil, to make a dip that will not only be a crowd pleaser, but is also good for you! Sliced pears would also taste fantastic with this dip, too!

Ingredients
- 1/2 Cup dates pitted
- 1 Tbsp coconut oil melted
- 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt kosher or himalayan
- 1 Tbsp almond milk to achieve desired consistency
- 1 apples cut into slices
- dessert toppings of choice goji berries, crushed nuts, unsweetened coconut flakes, cacao nibs, hemp seed, etc.

Instructions
- Slice apple (lightly dipping in lemon juice will slow browning).
- Mix first 5 ingredients in a high power blender or food processor until smooth.
- Spread caramel with knife or fingers (the latter is easier) on apple slices, and sprinkle or roll in toppings of choice.
