- 2 Cups buckwheat groats
- 4 Cup water filtered
- 2 Small apples
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ginger
- 1/2 tsp pure maple syrup
- 1/4 tsp sea salt

- Add buckwheat groats to water and let soak overnight (or at least 8 hours). Rinse and drain buckwheat and quickly pulse in food processor to make small pieces. Should have the consistency of cooked oatmeal at this point.
- Meanwhile on the stove, stew the chopped apples in a few tablespoons of water with the spices and sea salt until they are soft and start to break apart, about 10 minutes.
- Slowly stir in groats and syrup and/or a pinch of butter. You may thin it out by adding some almond milk, if desired. Transfer to a bowl and top with any other nutrient dense toppings and enjoy!
