VFit Studio Trainer and Registered Dietitian Lauren helps clients heal their relationship with food and fuel their bodies using a non-dieting approach to overall wellness.
Learn to build a healthy relationship with food, become an intuitive eater, and learn to eat foods that nourish YOU.
Individualized counseling sessions focus on client goals such as fueling around workouts, meal planning, emotional eating, disease management, or simply breaking the diet cycle.
Lauren is here to support and encourage you in a judgment-free zone.
I have worked as a dietitian for eleven years and seen directly how food affects the mind and body.
Food can be powerful in helping to heal disease and give nourishment for the things we enjoy - I love seeing that transformation.
I have also seen how wrapped up our culture is in dieting, being thin, extreme healthy eating, and what a struggle that is for most of our population to achieve. Food and movement should be enjoyable, fun and simple; not complicated, overwhelming or unachievable.
There is no one size fits all approach to nutrition and fitness.
I wholeheartedly believe that all foods fit, and we need to use our bodies as our guide for what, when and how we eat. This can be said for what kind of exercise we do as well. My goal is to help my clients feel better in their skin, have a positive body image, more energy, and to get rid of the diet mentality.
As a mom of three, I also have a passion for helping women before, during and after childbirth and then as a guide for feeding children and families; making it a positive experience that will carry into adulthood.
I have been an endurance athlete for many years and learned how to fuel for performing well. So whether that is taking one Vfit class a day, running a marathon, or just getting back into fitness I am here to support, encourage and help you along the way.

All visits include:
- A 30-60 minute 1:1 appointment via phone or video chat
- Client-led discussion of diet history, goals, and recommendations
- Text or email communication between appointments for support
- Emailed summary of visit with goals for next visit
- Number of visits determined between client and Lauren - 1 visit a month minimum recommended

LAUREN FERRARA
Lauren lives in Northern California with her husband and three beautiful children who love swimming, biking, sports and traveling.
Lauren's first love is long distance running, but after an injury which set her back a few months, VFit helped her stay active and fit through recovery. She still believes that a high intensity cardio class or a run can fix almost anything though!
VFit changed the way Lauren exercised over two years ago and she has never looked back. Lauren loves sharing her joy of exercise with family, friends and working with people of all ages and abilities. It's amazing the changes you can see physically, mentally and emotionally in only 30 minutes.
Along with training, Lauren has been practicing nutrition counseling as a registered dietitian since 2009. Her undergraduate degree is from CSU, Chico and her dietetic internship was completed at CSU, Fresno. She works with individuals who want to embrace the body they are in, stop dieting, and find ways to fuel themselves with food and movement that makes them feel good!
